Why do people consider A&F, Hollister, and AE as being preppy???
I just don't see how they can compare to a brand like Ralph Lauren or even Banana Republic when it comes to being preppy, ie. stylish, classic, clean-cut, ecclectic, etc. What's sooo appealing about tees, hoodies, jeans, and bland striped shirts???
I have never thought of those stores as preppy. I think of those stores as basically trendy and appealing to a teen demographic. Those stores do not compare to Ralph Lauren, or any other designer or brand of that distinction. Not to mention, unless you weigh 90 pounds, you really cant shop in those places. I hate hoodies.
